The Message: At the core of the search and staffing industry lies our ability to instill trust in both our clients and candidates.  It is about your ability to develop strong trusted, profitable, healthy relationships in any industry and even in challenging economies.  It is about your ability to understand not just the “what” and the “how” of our business, but the “WHY”. Principles are where what is right in our business meets what is smart in our business. This session will provide you with recruiting principles and specific skill sets to:

  • Diagnose first before prescribing. Open the conversation with new clients in a way that immediately differentiates us from our competitors.
  • Better understand the client and candidate decision or buying process and align your value proposition at every step
  • Build real value and trust in an industry that tends to see us as “vendors” or a “necessary evil”
  • Better manage initial client and candidate resistance to secure next steps

Rob is a Managing Partner and Sr. Director of Training and Development for Next Level Exchange. Rob comes to Next Level from MRINetwork™ Corporate in Philadelphia, PA, where he served as the Chief Learning Officer, responsible for all leadership training and sales development of 1,100 offices worldwide.


Previously Rob was with the Acclivus Corporation, an international performance development company. He has facilitated the Acclivus curriculum on five continents and was part of the Acclivus team responsible for global relationships with companies as diverse as Dell Inc., Enworld Japan, Shell Energy North America, Accenture, Rogers Canada, Simplex Grinnell, Workopolis, Comcast, KPMG Consulting, and CDI Corporation. Rob is currently a licensed facilitator for Acclivus.


Rob’s knowledge of the executive search industry comes from 10 years with Merritt Hawkins and Associates, a retained physician search firm and part of AMN Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of clinical healthcare staffing and consulting services. Rob was MHA’s Marketer of the Year for three consecutive years and served as Vice President of Corporate Business Development. 


He is a licensed facilitator for Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Rob holds master certifications in Consultative Selling, Performance Coaching, Advanced Sales Negotiation, Strategic Client Communication, and Major Account Planning & Strategy. 


Rob is a keynote speaker and facilitator at continuing education seminars in the areas of Leadership, Performance Coaching, and Business to Business Sales Execution with a focus on collaborative client development:
